We’ve been busy the past two weeks here in LaBelle,
Florida. On Sunday, January 21st, we met some old friends Craig and
Donette for dinner in Fort Meyers. They were on a vacation to Florida from
Wisconsin. I used to work with both of them in Colorado Springs until I retired in
November 2010 and we hadn’t seen them in over 7 years. It was fun to catch up.
On Thursday, January 25th, I drove 120-miles down
to the Miami VA Medical Center for an appointment for a hearing test. It went
well except for the traffic getting in and out of Miami.
We love going to RV shows and the next day Friday, we enjoyed
the Fort Myers RV show. We especially enjoyed looking through the Airstream
Tommy Bahama “Relax Edition” trailer.
We’ve settled in to the RV park activities, including Bingo
on Wednesday nights. I won one game on the first night we played. We didn't win anything last Wednesday...
We hosted cocktail hour at our site last Thursday and
everyone enjoyed my “Steve-o-Ritas”. We enjoyed the snacks other couples
brought and their good company.
Super Bowl Sunday today. We’re still trying to get used to
the 6:30PM start time for the game. We liked our 4:30PM Mountain Time Zone
start time better.
