We left Key West on Saturday, December 23rd, and
“moved” to Oak Grove RV Resort in LaBelle, Florida. Oak Grove is a new RV
resort, located in the heart of LaBelle, about 30 miles east of Fort Myers.
We initially stayed in a nice site on the lake, but after the Christmas holiday decided to move to a different site with some shade.
We’ve enjoyed our time so far back in the Fort Myers area
with a several trips to the Sun Harvest Citrus market to pick up some freshly-picked
oranges, strawberries, and fresh squeezed orange-cranberry juice.
We attended the New Year’s Eve party and dinner at our resort
clubhouse. The New Year’s ball dropped at 10PM here in this 55+ resort.
It got cold here in early-January with snow in northern
Florida and temperatures near freezing here in south-central Florida. The cold
snap lasted almost a week and we had to turn on our heat at night.
